Terms and Conditions (Ver. May 2024)

    1.Eligibility

    Participants must be between 20 & 70 years of age, 155 – 210 cm in height (due to bicycle specifications), and have the necessary physical strength to safely ride a bicycle for the specified distance.

    Those under 20 may participate in the tour only if they meet the above conditions (excluding age), and are accompanied on the tour by their parent or guardian.

    2.Completion of the Application Process

    After receiving your application, the guide will send you a “Confirmation of Reservation” via email. At this point a tour contract is considered to have been established with the customer.

    3.Payment Method

    ・Credit card (Visa/Master/American Express)

    4.Cancellation by the Customer

    ・Until 2 days before the tour (by JST 12:00) : No fee

    ・On the day before tour (by JST 12:00) : 50% of tour fee

    ・After JST 12:00 on the day before tour : Full tour fee

    5.Cancellation or Alteration at the Discretion of the Guide

    Should the guide need to cancel or alter the tour due to rain, bad weather, local conditions, etc., it will be handled as follows.

    ・Cancellation prior to departure : No cancellation fee

    ・Cancellation or course alteration following departure : No refunds

    6.On the Day of the Tour

    Please meet at the location specified in your reservation confirmation email by the tour start time. Our E-bikes do not have a cargo basket to store your luggage. Please either bring your own backpack, or we can provide you with a rental backpack (Size:14L/JPY500).

    Please note that if you do not arrive at the designated meeting place within 15 minutes of the tour starting, it will be counted as a cancellation by the customer on the day of the tour.

    7.Obligation to Report Health Conditions

    When applying, please make sure to accurately fill in details on participants’ health conditions and illnesses. If such conditions are not reported in advance, and later require the cancellation or alteration of the tour, then no refunds will be provided. The cost will be borne by the participant individually.

    If during the tour, the guide determines that a participant requires medical attention or treatment due to illness or other reasons, the guide may take appropriate measures including the cancellation of the tour. Costs incurred in such measures will be borne by the participants involved.

    In the event of a participant experiencing health issues in the days preceding the tour, please contact the guide immediately. A decision on participation will be made according to the situation leading up to the tour date, taking into account the planned details of the tour. Please note that we will not be held responsible for any accidents resulting from participants’ health conditions.

    8.Liability

    With the exception of the third-party liability insurance portion stipulated in clause 11, the guide, other participants or third parties suffer damage or injury as a result of the actions or negligence of given participant, that participant will be liable to pay compensation.

    9.Disclaimer

    We assume no responsibility for and shall not be liable for any damage or loss which may be caused by natural disasters, earthquakes, war, terrorism, unforeseen disasters on land, sea and air, traffic accidents, instruction from government officials or public institutions, riots, hijackings, theft, fraud, epidemics, infectious diseases, and other unavoidable causes, altitude sickness, climate damage, other diseases (including damage caused by after-effects), and damage caused by failure to follow the guide’s instructions.

    10.Private Policy

    10.1 Personal Information

    Personal Information is classified as information about living persons, and refers to information that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other description. 

    10.2 Purpose for Use of Personal Information

    Applicants’ Personal Information will be used for communication and safety management during the tour in which they participate. 

    10.3 Sharing of Personal Information with Third Parties

    We will appropriately manage applicants’ Personal Information, and will not disclose Personal Information to third parties unless one or more of the following apply :

    (1) Consent is obtained from the applicant

    (2) In case of accident, injury, or illness (to fire department, police, hospital, etc.)

    (3) Disclosure is required by law

    10.4 Security Measures for Personal Information

    Guides will take necessary measures to manage the security environment of their personal computers in order to ensure the safekeeping Personal Information.

    11.Insurance

    Our E-bike rentals are insured against third-party liability up to JPY 100 million, but recommend that participants purchase their own insurance, appropriate to their intended activities.
